I'm a surfer girl from UK, please could anyone tell what the surf is like generally in July or August? :lol:

can never be certain, but usually in july we get a bit of swell. good to see more and more chicks getting out there aswell. i was in england for chistmas this year aswell. do u live in the london area. i stayed in kent for a few days with some old friends. do u live anywhere around there?

Yeah the last few July's have had at least one big swell event but could be a lake for the rest of the time.

You better bring your steamer though it can get mighty cold here. might even be under 20 C some days. :)

Also remember to follow some australian customs - we have this thing called 'soap' over here you might want to try. We also have this thing called the Sun watch out for it (no its not a newspaper).

I am sure no matter what the swell size you will love it here.

hahahahaha! it is also and aussie coustom to sun bake topless when ever u are on the beach aswell. also when u are surfing on gold coast beaches, bodyboarders get 1st preferance on ALL waves :D :P .

I don't live in London, not really keen on the place, live in a place called Torquay in Devon.

I already know i like it over there as i have been a few times before but always around Jan - Apr time and the surf's been good.

And don't worry i'll bring my soap and steamer! Don't rub it in its bloody cold over here at the mo - steamer, booties, gloves and some guys wearing hoods too!!! :cry:
