I've never heard such misinformed bullsh*t in ages...these are the facts ladies (it sounds like some of you seriously need to look at getting an education)...

#1 Schapelle Corby was not fined $14K by the Aussie government. It was the Indonesian govt and the fine was imposed on top of the sentence. Fair dinkum you think John Howard would do that if he wanted to be re-elected at the next election?? Wake up!

#2 The Bali bombers are either serving life sentences or are on death row. The guy that got sentenced to two years was Abdul Bakar Bashir, the Muslim cleric who is supposedly connected to Al Qaeda. He was only implicated as the mastermind of the bali bombing and due to a lack of evidence showing a direct connection was only given 2 years. Yes, this may be seen as a soft sentence but he was not one of the bali bombers.

Interesting to see on the Sunday Sunrise program last week a guy who interviewed all of the reporters and media correspondents who had been covering the trial from day 1. When asked their opinion as to whether they thought she was guilty based upon what they had seen and heard, to a man they all said they thought she was guilty...

I work with a guy who had dinner the other night with some mates in the Feds. Apparently they sent a team over there to see what they could do in terms of finding evidence that may help acquit her and they reckoned there was nothing they could do...

Still, regardless of whether she is innocent or guilty, there's no doubt she doesn't deserve what she is going through. I don't think boycotting Bali is the answer though. Anyone who has been to Bali would know how nice the average Balinese person is. I'm sure they are very disappointed with the result as it means they are going to be kicked from pillar to post AGAIN for something they didn't have any control over...

yeah i really dont think she'd last hey... like they all say she's a strong person and all but man she'll get like really really really sick and then just say 'fvck it!' but yeah that would be something really bad to see. i hope she gets out man, 20 years in an australian jail would be bad enough, but in a bali jail, yeah right!
