Anyone here go clubbing, pubs, parties? Wheres you fav spot to go and where do you hate?

Shooters was our fav spot until recently, there seems to be an overwhelming amout of sausage all trying to hook in saturday night. Pisses me off even more when the mingas suddenly have there status elevated and decide to be cock teases. been going to cocktails n dreams alot more, a better guy/girl ratio and ok tunes. Shacks ok, Melbas has heaps of chicks, bourbon bar is wutang central. Mermaid tav goes off on a friday night aye, cool atmosphere and heaps of hotties, even has a curtisy (sp) bus into town. Was gonna go to fishos last night but the chick we live with turned 19 so we went to omallys where there was no one.

Anyone go to brisbane much? were keen as to head up there but arnt sure where to go since we dont have to coin to splurge. byron looks interesting too.

yeh finally a decent topic.
i havent actually been out down the goldy ay. just to the drink one night when i was off tap. im keen as to get out there ay. also a coupla mates did the sunday arvy fisho's mish and reckon thats the go for a good poon ratio. plus they said i could get in with my pluggers. stoked. oi everytime i check out the upcoming gigs, platinum gets a few good acts. any good there exbunno?

If im in brisbane, hands down ill be in the valley. not that i havent had mad blinders in the city, its just got nothing on the valley.

-My favourite club is definitely Rics. its the funkiest joint.
-birdees is apparently awesome but ive only been there on a sunday night and on friday satday nights the line up is massive.
-plenty of fellas and chicks i know may as well live at the monastery, good music, heaps of talent.
-downstairs at the beat if u r off ya nut and want to cut the rug big time.
-the zoo if there is a gig on, or just to lisen to live music.
- the rev for live music too.
-empire moonbar has wicked beats
-fringe bar its got plenty of talent and heaps of spots to chill out and have a beer
- If you are keen to come to brisbane u should go to the family at least once, costs an arm and a leg just to get in especially if there is a big dj on the night ($12 for resident and local djs to $30 for really big acts). but shit its a massive club. make sure ya dress like a hardcore metro so u can get in.
- downstairs elephant and wheelbarrow can be good once a month they have these 2 djs that play dnb and jungle so we get down there every now and then and run a muck. though I havent been there since i got kicked out for kissing the big moose on the wall you see as you walk in.
-if you havent got any and r keen for some easy meat go to beleushi's i saw a chick giving the dj gobbies there one night. no shit.
-don't go to rockafellas. its shithouse, especially downstairs, unless you like putting on massive fluoro clown pants, wearing a backpack to clubs and tying teddies to it with string, spiking ya hair and putting glowsticks thru ya ears, then munching down a whole packet of sudafed and dancing like a fucken mental patient zapping himself with a cattle prod.

there's plenty of other spots but these are the ones that stand out.

Hahaha theres a chick I work with whos friend is into the candy clubber scene funny as fvck aye. Cant beleive you havnt been out in surfers after telling us all your drunken stories. We got it good in surfers, I live with a chick who worked at shooters so we get free entry which saves us the $10, this other babe im friends with works at cocktails n dreams so we get in for free there too, plus cheap drinks. I got a mate who has VIP entry to most of the clubs so I havnt paid to get in for a while. Makes it so much cheaper and a heaps better night, also asking whats the cheapest drink helps lol.

For tuesday go to the prince albert bar at the casino, starts around 8.30 till around 12 I think, so you can get home early if ya have shit on the next day. Cheap local beers ($3.20 pints I think) and about 50/50 ratio of girls/guys. The girls in there are so fricken hot aye, way more babes than fuglys.

Mermaid tav on a friday night cranks. Live tunes upstairs and down. Got a mate working there so we can get cheap beers, its $5 pints anyway. Heaps of babes and some fights to watch downstairs sometimes.

fishos is a must on sunday nights. cool atmosphere with guys in any attire they want while the chicks are all dressed up.

Platinum has heaps of shit going on. Mark and Adam went to Benny Banesy (sp) a few weeks ago, said it was going off. I havnt been yet though. Quest on a thursday night is RnB so its full of hotties cos they like that shit.

Ive heard family is a must so we'll definately be checking that out, gonna be going in a couple of weeks when my scrubber mates have coin lol.

yeah i love birdee num num's - on a sat night it packs a crowd, its awesome - you can chill out on the lounge, get up and dance with the millions of hotties on the dancefloor or go and have a drink in the beer garden

belushi's is good with $12 spirit jugs and yeah pretty good talent there

family can play really boring music at times, its absolutely huge (5 levels) and it has the best atmosphere - but the music played (except for special events) are usually songs you dont usually hear.

monastery - if your not on coke or pingers (ecstacy) you kinda stand out because everyone there is drug fvcked but it plays awesome music and packs a crowd

fringe bar there are heaps of hot ladies but they are pretty posh... not bad talent though

for cheap lapdancers go to caberet club - $10 entry but $5 lapdances :D

Seein as this is a drinkin thread, this might give yaz a laugh and a different perspecive.
Last wed night had an invite to Asahi beer's new beer launch. selected knuckleheads only. The Asahi girls wanderin around in skin tight socks tha stopped just below paydirt. Mate grabs a coupla on the arse and asks them if they'II join us in Roppongi-center for deviants in Tokyo.

Get in the cab and its grab what ya can. Unforunately the ride wasnt as long as I needed. haw haw.
Get out in roppo with fish fingers and the girls hit a nightclub and immediately mee some Romanian hostess chicks who keep buyin us shots o vodka. Gettin nailed and need a piss so go orf ta toilet. Only one toilet in the tiny joint and a queue waitin. WTF! After about 6/7 minutes dunny door opens and mate plus one Asahi girl emerge from dunny. Lucky spud.
Little later, Im sittin at bar with romanian chick dressed in bugger all. Suddenly unknown chick inmini skirt comes from behind, sit wih legs either side o me lap and starts kissin me askin who he girl is Im drinkin with. Romanian chick gets pissed orf and takes off. Chick sittin onlap says to me, jus wanted ta piss your gf off. hen she walks off. hahahahah Skunked.
Hooked up wih some israeli gals a little later and wised me knee while drunken limbo dancing. All up cost fro drinkin etc from 7-5 am-$110 bucks. Beauiful.

Only hit up the family if your into the hardcore repetive dance beats....but If you do go out to there definately hit up some of the long island ice teas. Crazy cocktail made up of just white spirits. Hell exy but a few of those and you will be having a great night.

Birdy num num's is to metro for moi.
The Zoo is a great joint for a beer and a gig. The Dub sesions were great there, so relaxing.
Family is the shit for hardcore stuff, dance wise.
610 Ann street is starting to have a few good gigs too, and its all ages for you groms out there
The rev has great gigs
The depot is ok for rock and other guitar driven musak
West end has a few good seedy joints for a beer and listen to local muso talent.

The valley is starting to be infested with the metro/cool crew who would normally be in places like the Victory or City Rowers. Looking for fights and being right dickheads. Actually the city is starting to have a few good places opening up again.

i go out in the city now and i have good times these days... embassy is pretty kewl, same as port office for cheapo drinks and stocky is ok but is closing down.

i never heard bout it closin down? but there have been soooo many ppl gettin kicked out for being underage - it was hell easy to get into at the start of the year, we'd go at about 7 before bouncers came out then just start drinking and yeah enver got asked for id... then a couple of nights they started asking people for id inside the club, bout 50 people got kicked out - i got kicked out the week before as well for being too drunk and denying that i snuck these girls in but yeah good times
