anyone got any good info for NZ north island (besides wutching out for kiwi fullas mustakung you fur a sheep)? i'm doing a 2 week trip in a campervan with 4 mates over new years. can't wait!!!!!!!

in the meantime.....go rip into something whether it be a half foot shorey, a meat pie, or just a bitch of an assignment, if you're in my boat.

get hold of a book that was recently published about surfing in NZ, i can't remember what its called it might even be "surfing in nz". i went there this year and found the book to be really useful. otherwise, in summer check out the north of the north island and the areas around mt manganui on the east coast. you might like to try gisbourne area too. best of luck. oh and the sheep jokes are getting a bit tired, a bit like when someone yells "taxi." i had good waves in nz and i found that as long as you are respectful and friendly with the locals in and out of the water they will be really great and really helpful. this is useful if you are needing to find out the best place to get out and the best place to get in.
