G'DAY ALL
I live in canberra, i spent about a year at burleigh heads in 94/95, it was no doubt the best year of my life. What i wanted to know was have any of you guys done much surfing south of sydney and if so where were your favourite spots.Canberra is about 2 hours away from the coast so i only get to surf about 2 times a month but im always looking for for some new spots i may not know about.I check burleigh cam every day, the surf has looked really good this last week and im really missing those long peeling rights.
Speak to you all soon

hi mate, i am also stuck in canberra and get down to the south coast as often as i can. As for spots, there are heaps of good breaks north and south of batemans bay. Explore a little bit and you will find them. If you take some of the dirt roads that come off the highway you can come across plenty of perfect uncrowded waves. Bring on those winter swells!!!!!!

Try Burning Palms beach, about an hour south of Sydney. Its in the Royal National Park. Nice drive down the hills to the beach too, good surf, not very crowded.
