Rivalry Between Boogers and Surfers

hey yo,

i have always been bedazzled as to why there is such rivalry between surfers and body boarders.

I mean i know surfers dont think body boarders should be out there cuz they can stand up on a board, but by what logic does that mean they shouldnt be out in the surf, it is like saying that because someone cant walk (a cripple) then they shouldnt be alive.

i am a booger, and i am constantly getting dropped in on by fuckwit surfers who hate boogers, it really pisses me off because i mean, i am out there to catch waves and stuff as well.

i have respect for anyone who is out in the water, i think both sports take talent and stuff, but like, why do surfers also think booging takes no talent, the day i see a surfer go out on a body board and do an ARS (air roll spin), or a backflip, i will say well done, but like, the same can be said about surfing (i.e learn different moves than a cutty and a floater!)


but yeh, why cant we all just get along?

Because if you are a hetrosexual male and older than 12 then you have no place riding a boogie board.

You know you want to surf so give that esky lid to your 10 year old cousin and go pick up a real stick.


J/k by the way, don't take offence. I actually don't have anything against boogers, Mal riders are my nemesis.

hehe mal riders.. i do get pissed off at times when the surf is a little full. when im waiting on the inside waiting for the wave to break, about 10 secs before its even a wave, the mal rider is already on it. what am i suppose to do??? it happens mostly at the alley where mals are the kings.

seriously, im getting myself a mal soon! i'd love to be on the wave before it forms into a wave!!!

yes i hate the way us bodyboards are treated by surfers..... its not that bad on the coast when u compare it to hawii and places like that. where pretty lucky in the fact that we can actully padle out. i dont have a problem with surfers at all, execpt mal riders and the WORST of all, surf ski's and knee boarders!

down sth its pretty laid back between us gut sliders an the rest,only ones ya gotta watch r the club boys they get outa the car angry and stay like it all day.hehehe but ya dont get the crowds down here like on the goldie,can usually pick a break with 10 or less

yeah thats hell i wish we had that. it still is pretty laid back here, except when u get some poeple at burleigh which can be a bit of a pain. still dont know why surfers think they own all over us boogers just cause they stand up. oh well.

firstly i think its farken silly. whoever has a problem with something as trivial as this is a farken tosspot. there is so much skill in bodyboarding that unfortunately the public does not see. then again most bodyboarders like it the way it is. all in all its up to the individual on what they choose to surf. being a bodyboarder myself i have nothing against sticks only the fact that some of them show no respect to bodyboarding. so to those kind of sticks...go fark yourselves, you are worthless if you degrade a talent-filled sport.

i reckon in the end it comes down to how hard core the person goes for waves. there's boogers that sit there like ducks and then there are boogers that compete for the waves, and the same goes for surfers. you get the hard core boogers at straddie that are just as aggressive in competing for waves as the surfers and you cant not respect it, especially when they are on the inside doin drop knee 360's (is that what they are called?) in the sickest of bazzwas. what im trying to say is its much harder to ignore someone thats obviously made their presence in the line up. you probably need some skill to not fall off waves or you'll lose any respect you gained from paddling around like a hero. same goes for surfers, they will get dropped in on if they keep falling off waves or look like ducks in the water. its something you have to put up with when you're learning or not at tavaru all by yourself or not a competitive surfer/booger/what ever. but there are guys out there that just have it in for esky lids.

i know a few people who ride mals so i usually refrain from comments about them. goat boats suk.

i dont discriminate against anyone in the surf......except boogers that sit there with there mates and rekon its cool to drop in on you, but thats solved wen your fins go into there back! hehehe

to right! i also hate boogers like that. except when some faget surfer drops in on us when we are with a group of mates on some SICK wave, then we sit there for the rest of the day dropen in on him till he go's and surfs somewhere else or go's home. that gets people angry....

I'm a booger and i so don't blame the surfers for half of the boogers they drop in on because some of them burleigh rats ya get out there are completely useless and ide way rather see some one shred it apart rather then let it go to waste weather it is a surfer or booger.

I do think that some of the older surfers at burlz do use their higher rankings in the line up a bit unfairly especially when they drop in on me but i dont seem to care that much if they shred its just the older kooks that think they shred that piss me off when they drop in.

Other then that i love watchin a good surfer doin a massive cuttie layin in all his rail and just commiting even if all the spray does go in your face i think the pain of sprayed eyes is well worth it.
