naa have to disagree, the sweep would have been intense. when the ocean is like that - youd catch maybe 10-20 times more waves per hour then when paddleing....

Must admit, I'm lovin' the footage at the moment boys. Think it's funny how when I posted a question about towing it was all "fvck the cvnts" etc, but when pics show up of guys doing ARS's it gets some positive calls. Sweep or no sweep, that is too small to be towed into. Part of the surfing experience is getting swept, going in and back up the beach, paddling back out and sacking up to do it all over again.

The kids that are always getting towed are going to get into a situation where they drown due to their lack of real ocean skills. You can't have a strong understanding of the inside (surviving multiple hold downs, using rips to your advantage, etc.) unless you spend a lot of time in it.

If they have already have that knowledge disregard my post. If they do not, I believe they will have a misplaced sense of security from having a ski in the water and will wind up paying the price if the ski falters.

Back to our normally ridiculous programming: Harrow!

Imagine if every prick had a ski out at snapper? It would be disastrous!!
The crowd factor would be totally unbearable with every kook trying to swing into the next set and I'm sure that ski's would quite probably be banned from being used for this purpose.
IMO,If there is no one paddling in then the ski's may be usd, if there are a few dudes paddling then the ski's should fuck off!

Wise words there Gaz, skis should nick off if paddling surfers are in the line up.

I remember a day at Burleigh 5-6ft a few years back where a certain pro and his ski driver were just towing through the line up like they couldn't give a fark about any one.

A ski could be fun but no doubt, but it would take some of the thrill out of it I reckon.
