Surf trips

I'm just posting to say that surfing in remote locations is the most amazing magnificent thing you could ever do. I recently returned from a trip to some of the south pacific islands and scored the most epic surf you could ever ask for in crystal clear warm warm water.

All I could see coming out of the barrells was lush green volcanic peaks, covered in over-nourished jungle, without a house in sight and as I pulled off the back at the end of my waves I felt weak in the knees as my heart melted at the flawlessness of the situation I found myself in.

I have been snowboarding in the deepest driest powder, I have rooted heaps of girls who would be perfect 10's by anyone's standards, but nothing, nothing, would ever come close to the feeling I got when shooting through these gorgeous blue barrells surrounded by jungle.

I only get about 4 weeks holidays a year, but I can safely say that from now on, I will be spending all my holidays charging monsters in remote tropical islands with the best surfboards I can get my hands on.

I reckon that Choad must be the luckiest bastard around, coz I've spent quite some time in these south pacific islands (Tonga, Samoa, Cook islands, and Solomons) and yeah, there's awesome waves. Mind you, of the months I've spent there, most of them were wind blown or flat. As for the powder, God I hope you aren't referring to ANYWHERE in Australia!!!
