I wont mention the fact that the winning try was scored from a very obvious forward pass and Qlds first try was also created from a Karmicheal Kunt knock on earlier in the tackle count!!!

Oh and I've heard Steve Price is going to receive an Academy Award this year for his superb acting skills in taking a dive!!!

What about the NSW player who was not standing at marker knocks the ball out of the dummy halfs hands and isnt penalised NSW get a scrum feed then a dodgy penalty and score their only try. Refs calls go either way and even though I was going for NSW I think that NSW got the better of all the refs calls.

IMO - It was one of the worst refereed State of Origin matches I have ever seen (both ways - Qld and NSW). There was a shocking lack of calls in the first half, and then some ridiculous calls in the second half.

i reckon NSW didnt deserve to win anyways. they played like shit. the fact that they played like shit and QLD could only score 10 points against them is sad for QLD. NSW attack was so predictable. braith anasta is over rated and shouldnt have made the team. kimmorely is crap, where the hell was brent shirwin and why wasnt he in the team instead of kimmorely? was just shocking to watch as a NSW fan. fucking appauling.

Kimmorly is a kook he passes to early and as a result th eattck has no variety his kicks though deep were not putting pressure on any of the Qlders he is so predictable if andrew johns was on the paddock NSW would have racked up 50 points. That is the difference johns can play is deceptive and has variety kimmorly is a one dimensional player who doesn't put fear or uncertainty into the opposition. Even at club level he is a kook.

This is spot on and the calls although 4-1 ended up pretty even in terms of dodgyness.

NSW team has no heart and no real leader (in the coach's box or on the field) - QLD has shitloads of heart and stacks of guts as well as several great leaders on and off the field and this was the difference IMO.

Even at club level he is a kook.I actually thought Kimmorely's kick chase game was outstanding. He certainly stepped up in this department compared to his previous game. I agree however that if NSW are to win they need a play maker in this position and kimmorely didn't achieve that this time, partly due to a total lack of support from the players around him I thought. And yeah, if Joey was there we would have smashed them, but no point bringing that up as it's never gonna happen again so we should move on from Johns. Perhaps Matty Orford would inject some fresh blood and play making abilities?

then again 10 minutes into the first half
only found out who won the next day from a mate

Well if you want an old farts opinion....

I reckon NSW are too quick to drop young kiddies... I woulda stuck with the young halfback from the first game... so, you might lose a couple.. but by the time the first game next year comes round it will be a different story with him having 3 games under his belt.

NSW talk about trying to get the spirit that qlders have but if you keep shuffling ya players it aint eva gunna happen....

I think the NSW selectors will use your philosophy for game 3 mind you, so I'd say we'll be stuck with Kimmorely again, when I reckon Orford would have been the go to man from the start. But then again I'm probably a little biased as I'm a Sea Eagles fan as well!!!

But seing a s I have spent over half my life up here i am also a qld supporter.
That being said, i turned off on nsw when the real men of the game dropped off the scene and were replaced by the type of pretenders they have in their side now. Baderras(sic) and annasta are devoid of real heart. They are over paid rockstars with plenty of promise that is bnever really lived up too. EVen when qld field a team of relatively unknowns, they still dig deep and get results, nsw just don't care enough and will never place as much importance in origin as the so surely need to produce real spirit and pride.

thurston is heavily underreated, i cant see how you can say that johns was ever as good as he is now.
