hey guys

anyone know a good repairer that doesnt charge so much?

i have a 6'8" and the broken nose is just as big as a noseguard. and the middle fin is missing - wrong timing jumping off at burleigh rocks..
this is a removable fin system.

anyway, how much will it cost all up? or could i possibly do it myself?

glassing seems a bit complicated, i do have a ding repairer kit but i dont wanna fuck it up.

anyway, the waves were good today. finally!

im in brissy, but never mind now.. i've reattached it myself now and replaced the fins.. im not sure how strong the nose job is but i guess i'll find out next time i go down for a bash.

everytime i go down to burleigh i get hurt or sumthin bad happens.. anyone got tips on jumping off the rocks at burleigh?

i usually just look for the furtherest rock out and on the incoming wave, just jump on top of it as it breaks.

I always use the *Penguin Method* and watch other punters first. It can be a real shit of a place though.

yeah i still havent mastered jumping off the rocks at burleigh.. i'm always too keen to just get in the water and dont wait for the sets..

jump off on the last wave of the set? and when the wave breaks on the rocks, u jump off?

whatever it is, i hate doing it and i go further down to currumbin/snapper now

*jump off on the last wave of the set? and when the wave breaks on the rocks, u jump off?*

That's generlly what I do. Just don't be too anxious and watch a few guys first. I generally watch the surf for around ten minutes before I jump in no matter where I am so I can suss out what is going on.

But you're right - far less hassle down at Currumbin.

believe it or not there are set rocks which u should jump off on different tides at burliegh if u sit and watch for a bit u will soon see a few of the local guys all going to the one rock keep ur eyes open and u will learn

ive never kooked it at burls befor, ive found it one of the easyst rock jumps ever. there seems to be quite a few surfers that eat it on the rocks at burls. i just wait to the wave washes right over the rock so its nice and deep. never had a problem, even when im surfing there (i usually boog). later
