Oi you lot,
Did anyone catch that swell this morning? I was surfing up near the spit around 6am. Small, glassy, uncrowded and wicked weather.
Awesome way to start a Wednesday.
Yeah i did that yesterday, got up nice and early and had great fun yesterday morning at broadbeach.
ps. should i feel safer with 20 odd dolphins around or not. cause there were tons of em round yesterday.
Its still scary when they pop out not 3 feet away from ya.
Got some nice waves at Palmy Tuesday morning.
As for the dolphin thing, I've seen sharks swimming with pods of dolphins so it sometimes makes me nervous when they hang around.

Anyone catch the northern beachies this morning? Broady is out of radio range for a week.
Palmy was crystal clear and shaping up far better than the weekend waves. Lefts mostly and a few hollow ones.

I didn't see the guys get swept off the rock wall but I was filming off the end of the sand pumping jetty, in the arvo, and off the rockwall in the morning, there was only one guy out the morning and about 5 out in the arvo pretty solid.

wow.. i thought the coast would've been all junk on mar 6. the spit looks real clean and rideable. just getting out would be a bit trciky. unless you jump off the rockwall.
i didnt even know the spit could handle that size! wonder how straddy reacted to the swell on that day.
Sick pictures btw!!

strad was poo. the padle was MEGA scetch as well. the surge was going up and along the whole rock wall it was so big. but yeah the spit was hardly surfable either. when i looked at it in the morning it was anyway. i didnt get to see it in the arvo but its looking alrite in those pics. later

Hey B, awesome pics! Any chance that I could grab a couple of the original/high res photos off ya? The second morning shot, and the first arvo shot would look pretty awesome printed out, I reckon.
Cheers,
- Dave

yeah bro sure did happen, i was one of em. we were out at the end of the wall watching it all happen, just the power of what was rolling through out there. then just herd this mega bang and look side ways and bout 3ft of white wash just coming down the wall at us. so i just went ohhhhh fuck and tryed to out run it and just got picked up, dragged for bout 10 metre's and off the side right down to the bottom of the wall. shitest day becasue it fucken hurt and i didnt get to surf the sunday madness that was on offer. of well what your get for being stupid i guess. live and lern..... later
