Well one of my mates just bought a 2003 model KX 125. Yesterday he got all the saftey shit like helmet, gloves and pretty much everything he could get lol. Does anyone know of places to go riding without getting caught or hassled? We dont really want to pay coin to ride on a proper bike track since we are so shit and will fuck our selves up

I went up there on the weekend to see a band called Liquidate play at Gillhooleys near the Hyperdome and god theyre were some seriously looking dregs hanging around, was not keen on pulling out my mobile in front of them.

I was thinking about nerang state forest or somewhere like that. This bike is loud as fcuk so we dont want to bother people and get fined or worse. I cant really find anything on the web either

Theres a spot where a few guys go its across the road from the tip near parkwood / arundel there if you know what I mean. Near the race track.. or near Colgate Palmolive factory.

theres some rad tracks at pottsville. just go across the bridge at blackrock, and its directly in front of you.
depends what sort of riding you wanna do though. ie. bush bashing, scrub runs, mud flats, jumps.
i havent heard of anywhere to ride near nerang. for good spots you gotta go away from civilization.
if he bought a 125 i hope he got a 2-stroke, coz if not, hes gona want some more power, real quick.
125s are sick, but after a few runs your gona catch the bug and want more and more balls.

Can I ask why the fark would you even want a motorbike when you can buy 3 or 4 new customs boards for the same price? ..and it doesnt exactly get you to the beach and back either.
Not only that when you do actually come off at 96km an hour and your knee twists 180 degrees the wrong way and half your brain matters left on the big rock you didnt see, your outta the water for 10months.. farkkkkkkkkk thattttttttttt

I used to race Motocross and enduro's, we would race all day on a sunday and spend the next week fixing our bikes or recovering from stacks. Spent way too much money on bike bits and hospital bills and surfed only in the off season.
Good fun but if ya a competitive prick like me ya end up hurting, both bodily and walletly

Their is a motorcross track in Yatala. It has a trail leading out from it into the bush and around everywhere.
At logan village there was a awesome one that my old man and I use to ride but the entrance has been developed, so you have to go around the development. Thats on logan village rd.
On the logan motorway heading west there is a awesome place called 'the quarry'. which is a quarry and heaps of tracks around it. It is fun.
Dont know any on the gc, probably look for trails going off from roads around the hinterland. Put a full tank of fuel in though.
If your a heavy, buy a CR500 two stroke. thats what daddy waddy had. Would wheel spin and do a mono at the same time haha. Soo much torque.

Ok so it turns out that we are shit and stack it easy lol. We asked a couple of older dudes that ride where some tracks are and they reckon out reedy creek way theres some places but were unsure if it was ok since they only go up north. Friday arv we went for a treck there and found an old quarry with a few offroad tracks and a couple of guys riding those mini bikes.
Got the bike down there (kx 125 2003 model, 2 stroke bty) and as luck would have it I was the first to stack it. coming down a small hill, I gave it too much stick, front wheel hit a rock, wheel slid out and I went down. Grazes up both arms, twisted my right knee and a few bruises all over. End of run one, cost $17.50 to get the forks straightened since the fall twisted a few bolts.
Saturday arvo after worrying my knee is farked (getting better thank god) I decided not to ride, since I dont want to stack my mates bike again and fuck it up. Mark (bike owners bro) decided that since he putted around for 10 mins the day before without eating it, he was good enough to do a jump  Stinging it in 3rd on this straight, he went up this ramp/small hill, roosted about 1.5m high, landed the front wheel in a rut and ate it big time. Deep grazes on both arms and this massive bruise on his thigh.
After this Adam (bike owner) going up a hill to quick got bucked off the back and the kx did a back flip, fcuking up the foot peg and clutch lever. After all this weve decided not to go stupid on it since A: we are so shit and B: we dont want to turn the bike into a boonga just yet.
Its sic fun though, feels like your going mega fast. It will take a while for us to get used to the throttle and not fcuk up. Joshstar, Adam got the bike since even though he loves to surf he has other interests too. We go surfing when its good in the morns and ride in the arvo. When we sort out a trailer, it will be south missions surfing and riding.

Its the first time ive been busted up for years. Its an old quarry so there rocks, ruts, pot holes n shit everywhere. Last bike I rode (including a pushy) was my 50cc honda dio scooter when I was 16/17. Im not used to the throttle control yet and I know im shit, its going to take a while to get reasonably good. Did you stand up the first time you rode a stick?

this track we found is ok but theres heaps of shit like rocks and ruts to look out for. You can see why no one gives up there spots, too much attention and the ranger brakes up the party.
Its turning out to be an expensive hobby, $4000 on a bike, $1000 on all the protective gear - which turned out to be a life saver since I went face first into the ground using my knees as cusions, repairs which look like they are going to add up quickly. Now we gotta get a trailer or a van since im selling the ute.

I would still prefer to spend the coin on new boards

Joshstar you should spend the money on moving out of home you bum
cost of a reliable moped is the same as a shit car. My 50cc'er was pretty sic as a grom but a year later the engine was on its last legs. At the bike shop there was this mad scooter, it was a cross between a moped and a ute lol. Had the normal scooter front and the back had 2 wheels and a little tray about 40cm square.

Can't remember what those little scooters are called Ronny...
Live it up at home if ya can. But nothing teaches you more about yaself than living on ya own or in a share house, You all need to do it. Learn more from six months of fending for yaself than you will in 10 years of feeding off ya mummy's and daddy's breast.

You live in a caravan ron? I'm still with the olds too, wouldn't have it any other way, allows ya to save heaps of cash, ya can go away with no worries. Rent's fucked, money down the drain. I'll move out when i can put a deposit on a house or unit.

i prefer to call it the palace. but yes, it has caravan like features, such as wheels etc...
